Blemish SOS™ by Medik8 is a targeted treatment gel for local correction of blemishes and skin imperfections. The formula with maximum-strength 2% salicylic acid helps quickly reduce the appearance of blemishes, clear pores, calm visible redness and restore a clearer, more even and healthy-looking complexion.

The treatment works precisely and quickly: salicylic acid exfoliates from within the pore, helping to break down excess sebum and dead skin cell buildup that can contribute to blemishes. Azelaic acid and dioic acid additionally help target blemish-causing bacteria and control excess oil production to reduce the risk of future imperfections.

Blemish SOS™ has a lightweight, fast-drying and completely invisible texture. The gel can be used at home or during the day, on clean skin, under makeup or over makeup. The formula works locally, does not overload the skin and helps soothe irritation without a sticky feel.

How the active ingredients work

• Salicylic Acid 2%: a BHA acid that exfoliates within the pores, helping to break down excess sebum and dead skin cells to reduce the risk of clogged pores and future imperfections.
• Azelaic Acid: an active ingredient with antibacterial properties that helps target blemish-causing bacteria and prevent new blemishes from forming.
• Niacinamide: vitamin B3 with soothing properties that helps reduce the look of irritation, support hydration and strengthen the skin’s protective barrier.
• Dioic Acid: helps decongest pores and control excess sebum production, reducing the likelihood of future imperfections.

After cleansing in the morning and/or evening, apply a small amount of Blemish SOS™ with a clean finger to the affected area. Gently rub in and allow the gel to dry completely. Slight tingling after application is normal.
